Juicing Recipes for the Holidays
The holidays are the time to make merry, and what would the merriment be without some delicious and satisfying juice drinks to start your day or see you through those holiday events. These three from Williams Sonoma are as festive-looking as they are delicious and refreshingly good for you. Enjoy!
Green Ginger Juice (serves 1)
6 kale leaves, stemmed
2 cups spinach leaves
4 celery stalks
1-inch piece fresh ginger
juice of ½ lemon
Wash the kale, spinach, cucumber, celery and applies well, then cut them up as needed to fit through the chute of your juicer. Juice the ingredients (except the lemon juice) in the order listed according the manufacturer's instructions. Stir in the lemon juice and enjoy immediately.
Pomegranate-Blueberry Juice (serves 2)
1 cup pomegranate seeds
2 cups blueberries, plus more for garnish
Sugar to taste (optional)
Ice cubes as needed
Sparkling water as needed
In an extractor, juice the pomegranate seeds and 2 cups blueberries. Taste the juice for sweetness and add a little sugar if needed. Fill 2 tall glasses with ice. Pour in the juice and to with sparkling water. Garnish with blueberries and serve at once.
Blackberry-Kiwi Juice (serves 1)
¼ large pineapple, peeled, cored and cut into cubes
1 cup blackberries
1 kiwifruit, peeled
30 fresh mint leaves
Wash the ingredients well, then cut them as needed to fit through the chute of your juicer. Juice the ingredients in the order listed according the manufacturer's instructions. Enjoy immediately.
