OVERVIEW

The Traffic Manager/Production Coordinator is responsible for the oversight of all workflow for the creative team in order to ensure that projects are scheduled, resourced and prioritized appropriately. S/he will also help to maintain the integrity of the brand through the oversight of freelancers and vendor partners.

PRIMARY JOB DUTIES

  • Create and manage work schedules and coordinate the execution of workflow among creative team members and departments.
  • Manage job request completion and content tracking.
  • Ensure that all creative work is completed on-schedule and that internal and external resources are used efficiently.
  • Monitor the moving pieces of each project and keep all stakeholders apprised of changes that could impact workflow.
  • Route work through multiple departments to facilitate quality control and ensure clear lines of communication.
  • Route all outgoing design comprehensives and mechanicals. Ensure that each department receives and approves there documents in a timely manner and that clear feedback is communicated to creative services team.
  • Publish a weekly production/creative status report and daily ‘hot sheet,’ listing the most pressing jobs for the day and their current status, to ensure that all departments are advise of progress.
  • Expedite all ‘crisis jobs’ and manage expectations of affected stakeholders.
  • Manage logistics for brand/creative team meetings (sites, agendas, etc.)
  • Commit to personal development and professional growth by actively participating in personal development initiatives and applying developmental thinking within the context of planning and executing work.

KNOWLEDGE and SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum: 4-5 years of traffic management or related experience
  • Strong, demonstrated project management capabilities
  • Proficiency in project management software, Microsoft Word
  • Familiarity with design, design processes, as well as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign
  • Understanding of print production systems
  • Understanding of web production a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple external vendors
  • Demonstrated ability to positively influence both internal and external resources
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high growth organization

  • Strong alignment with SVG essence and direction
